About

'Wearables' are devices that can be worn as clothing or accessories, such as smart watches, and fitness bands and trackers.

They are often linked to apps which collect data that you can use to track aspects of your day-to-day life, such as the number of steps taken, your heart rate or sleeping patterns.

This web page explains how to protect your personal data and yourself when using these devices.

It includes a short video showing you how to use fitness trackers safely.

The web page is on the website of the eSafety Commissioner of the Australian Government.
